We’re Partnering With VG247 To Launch Our New Division Site!

We’re excited to partner with VG247 to help bring group matchmaking to The Division!

We’ve made a ton of improvements to our site and matchmaking system for our upcoming The Division Matchmaking section. But we’re still missing the most critical ingredient: you! Specifically, the thousands of Division players we need to fill up all the different groups (Xbox, PS4, PC, casual, serious, morning players, evening players…) that our matchmaking system creates.

We’re still ironing out the details, but the basic partnership is a win-win for The100.io, VG247, and all Division players looking to find as many fresh games and active groups as possible. Basically, VG247 will (transparently) mention and link to us from their site, and in exchange we’ll share advertising revenue and work together to build the best place possible to find great people to play The Division with.

This is a huge win for us, as it will send thousands of new Division players to help fill our groups and post games. It’s a win for users too, as it should dramatically increase the activity level and user count in groups, and all those users will be posting a ton more public games you can choose from.

It’s also a big step for us, as we’ll now have a new way to generate some revenue and stay sustainable through advertising. Up until now we’ve been supported purely by donations, which I’m incredibly grateful for (and still kind of awed by). We’ve also been fortunate to have a ridiculously generous group of volunteers volunteers to help add new features and reply to users needing help. As a thanks to those who’ve contributed time or money or both to keep us running, ads will always be off by default for supporters.

We have big plans for 2016, including supporting more games, building out the apps and features people are asking for, and making sure we’re sustainable so you can count on a high quality site for the long term. This is the first step in that direction, and as always we’d love to hear from you if you have any ideas or feedback: http://www.reddit.com/r/the100website
